Picking animal forms in my animal shapeshifter AU for Seirin’s new freshmen Asahina and Yaagi is so funny bc I know next to nothing about them, so I’m operating on vibes and aesthetic alone.

These are gonna be Seirin/Kuroko in his 3rd year focused bc I have a lot of thoughts about that and have been meaning to draw them out so maybe writing it will inspire me haha. Not in any particular order bc I’m lazy.
- Hyuuga selects Furihata to be the next Captain when he and the others retire, and Kuroko and co are all ecstatic for him while Furihata just stands there shocked for a good 30 seconds before bursting into elated tears
- Riko graduates, but the school offers her a paid position to keep on coaching and she accepts because she just has to see her og freshmen’s final year. 🧡 She’s currently in college double majoring in business managaement and kinesiology and everyone’s surprised that she finds the time to do all that she does put her boys through the wringer
- Kagami stays in Japan until high school graduation, then goes to the States for college aka how it should have been in canon
- Kawahara has a growth spurt, gaining both height and mass and becomes a well-rounded Center
- Furihata grows his hair out a little and ties it back into a little ponytail for games ( @misfitmiska ‘s ponytailed!Furihata has me in a chokehold)
- Fukuda, much to Furihata’s dismay, ends up being the first to get a girlfriend (they start dating during his second year and she’s an avid supporter of the team and goes to most games and is a familiar face to the team). Her and Fukuda uses each other’s given names (without honorifics) to address each other
- Mitobe Chigusa (canon name of Mitobe’s younger sis, the one with the most screen time) joins Seirin as the manager as a 1st year when Kuroko and co are 3rd years
- Hyuuga according to the Character Bible, has a younger brother. I like to imagine he goes to Seirin and tries to follow in his bro’s footsteps (he’d be a 1st year along with Chigusa). Haven’t really decided on personality/design yet.
- Kuroko is Vice Captain to Furihata’s Captain
- Kagami is an awkward as hell senpai and doesn’t do well with the new blood fawning over him/even calling him “senpai”, but he tries his best (Kuroko makes fun of him and any chance he gets he’s like “hmm why don’t you ask Kagami-kun?” whenever a kouhai has a question/needs help just to force Kagami into Teaching Moments)
- Ogiwara transfers to Seirin his second year. I’m not married to this idea but I think he could bring a fun dynamic plus seirin needs the numbers now that hyuuga and the gang are gone.
- Asahina Daigo and Yagi Yuta (those canon guys that made tiny appearances in the Extra Game manga + light novels) make up Seirin’s second years. I think I would add like 1 or 2 more OCs as a second year and a freshman to round out the numbers, since again, seirin is lacking in numbers
- more of a general headcanon but I like to think that nigou is not some sort of dwarf breed of dog as canon would suggest (he’s never shown to get bigger) and is actually some sort of malamute/husky/shiba mix, so he turns into an absolute unit by the time Kuroko’s 3rd year rolls around. Kagami has since completely warmed up to him and Nigou is the only dog he tolerates because he’s a “special exception”. He’s able to freely pet and toss a toy around with Nigou by his third year but if any other dog approaches him, he’s outta there.
- Kagami, Kuroko, and Aomine have also taught Nigou how to shoot a basket with his nose. Aomine and Kagami are just hanging out watching him when Kuroko steps away for a second on like a streetball court one day and then Nigou does it accidentally and they’re both just like 😮‼️😮 and then they proceed to dedicate a good chunk of their free time to trying to get him to do it again. Kuroko returns to them trying to recreate the moment, with Kagami throwing a ball at Aomine’s face and everything, who’s enthusiastically being like “see see, you did it like this!”. And Kuroko’s just like 😐 (he has already taught Nigou this trick and is highly amused by Aomine and Kagami’s antics)
- it’s not uncommon to see a familiar face (a former player like Hyuuga, Kiyoshi, etc) in the stands at games/coaching at training camps
- for 1 year post-canon, when Kiyoshi is still recovering from his operation he has to take it a little easier than he wants to, but is back to about 89% to his usual levels of strength by Winter Cup 2. However before then, he serves as Seirin’s manager.
- tsuchida’s gf (whose a total smokeshow to everyone’s bafflement) ends up becoming Seirin’s manager in her and Tsuchida’s final year of hs bc she wants to make an effort to be more supportive/close to him. She’s super kind and chill and everyone really likes her. She calls Tsuchida “Satoshi-kun” and he also uses a derivation of her given name when he addresses her
Well anyways knb fans that are left on Tumblr. Please respond to this with like head cannons or your own personal aus that you might have regarding their second or third year.

Only one date is ever mentioned in-game, that being 2021. Considering that the Virtual Singer Fan Festa seems to be a stand-in for Magical Mirai 2021, we can assume that the Scramble Fan FESTA! event takes place in September 2021 (the real-life MM2021 was delayed to November due to covid-19, but the pandemic doesn't exist in-universe and MM Tokyo usually takes place at the beginning of September). There are Leo/need Daily Life social media posts that show them attending Magical Mirai, and do state the year of the event, but these can be considered promotional material for the event itself rather than canon material, especially since the characters address in-game that only one year has passed since the start of the story (despite the fact they have celebrated new year's day 4 times now. Timeloop things).
Based on this date, we can actually place exactly when every main character was born. The cutoff date for Japanese schools is April 1st, making Ena the oldest main character, being a 3rd year with a birthday of April 30th, followed by Tsukasa on May 17th, so on so forth all the way down to Kohane, a 2nd year with a birthday of March 2nd.
Considering when Scramble Fan FESTA is set, Ena, who was a 2nd year at the time, would be 17 years old. That would place her date of birth as April 30th, 2004. Additionally, while Kohane, a first year at the time, should be 15 during the event, the game considers her to be 16 due to using a set age for every grade bracket. Regardless, the event setting places her date of birth as March 2nd, 2006.
Based on this, we can conclude that:
Ena, Tsukasa, Rui, and Shizuku were born in 2004
Mafuyu, Kanade, Airi, Minori, Saki, Toya, Nene, An, Ichika, Mizuki, Emu, Haruka, Honami, and Akito were born in 2005
Shiho and Kohane were born in 2006
This also means that Ena, Tsukasa and Rui are all older than the MEIKO software (released November 5th 2004), and everyone except Kohane is older than the KAITO software (released February 17th 2006). Every main character is older than Miku, the Kagamines, and Luka based on this information.
Using the information around set ages*, we can also work out rough estimates for when the side characters were born. For example, Arata, who was 19 during the first 3 years of the game, is 3 years older than the members of VBS who were all considered to be 16. Since the members of VBS were born in the April 2005 - April 2006 school year range, Arata was likely born in the 2002-2003 school year range.
* based on how characters like Youta and Miu, who are said to be the same age as Leo/need, were both confirmed to be 16 years old before the 3rd anniversary age-up. Also Haruka's age is confirmed as 16 at a point in time when she shouldn't be 16. Timeloop things.
Based on this, the oldest living side character, Kounosuke, who was 55 pre-3rd anniversary and 39 years older than Emu, was probably born between April 1966 and April 1st 1967. On the younger side of things, Hanano, who was 14 pre-3rd anni, was likely born between April of 2007 and 2008. I've put the rest of the estimated side character DOBs under the cut.
assumed age as of 3rd anniversary in brackets (literally just pre-age-up age + 1)
Rakunosuke Otori - April 2nd 1922 ~ April 1st 1923 (98 (at time of death. would be 100 if still alive))

Nanami "Nanamin" Hayakawa - 2004~2005 (18)

Mai - 2006~2007 (16)
Hanano Yoshizaki - 2007~2008 (15)
Additional notes (mod is rambling atp):
Rakunosuke died when he was 98 years old. In the WxS main story, Emu says that he died a year ago. Assuming Emu was 15 at the time, they have an age gap of around 83 years. The year of birth listed here was based on that assumption.
We know that Kanade's mother died aged 30, but we do not know when she died. She is still alive in flashbacks set roughly 10 years prior to the events of game.
In the third fanbook, ages were given for Mrs Asahina, Shindou, Yuuki, Asahi, and Arisa as one year less than they are given in this post. The reason for me adding a year on is because of the confirmation in a livestream of Daigo's age being 27. Daigo is meant to be the same age as Shousuke, whose age was given as 27 prior to the 3rd anniversary. When his age was provided on stream, he was grouped with the 5 I mentioned earlier. Based on this we can assume that all their ages are taken from the same time frame, i.e, pre-3rd anni (and this also confirms that NPCs inexplicably don't age but we'll ignore that for continuity reasons).
We do not have confirmed ages for Nagi, Reki, Sakaki, Ohara, MMJ's landlady, Mafuyu's father, Hiiragi, or the members of ReLight yet
Rui suggests that Reki is the same age as him in A Story Where You Are The Star while talking about both him and Asahi in the same sentence. Asahi was since confirmed as 18/19, so it is likely that Reki is also around that age.
Nagi's age is left blank in the fanbook due to it not being revealed that she was dead at the time of publication. She is younger than Taiga, but we don't know by how much, but nonetheless she was likely born in the early 1980s. It is unlikely we will ever know her exact age.
Ohara is stated to be in his mid-30s, placing his birth year as somewhere in the 1980s, likely around 1986-1989. Sakaki is an old college friend of Ohara's, so he is likely a similar age.
No NPCs are given exact birthdays

for the character thing you reblogged
mafuyu asahina (prsk) and shuu kurenai (beyburst)
if you want!
Mafuyu from Project Sekai
She needs a break. I love Mafuyu and it makes me sad to see her unable to stand up to her mother, but at least she's away from there now. She's so sweet, too, and it's clear that she really wants to be a nurse, even if she doesn't realize it herself, so seeing her suffering because her mother wants to redirect her to a path she doesn't enjoy just to make Mafuyu earn more money is definitely an experience
I'm definitely big on Kanade with Mafuyu, but lately I've started to really like her with the others in niigo.
Definitely Ena. Seeing Ena's reaction to Mafuyu's surprisingly blunt comments is always really funny.
I don't know if it's really that unpopular, but I don't really see her as transmasc. I definitely see where they're coming from, and it's a very fun scenario to explore, but I just don't feel like she is. If you headcannon that have fun though. Don't let my opinion stop you from enjoying stuff.
This is probably gonna happen eventually, but I want to see her making actual decisions for herself, even for minor/inconsecuential things (sorry darkness festa event has not left my brain)
Shu from Beyblade Burst:
(okay so it's been a good while since i've seen beyburst and i stopped halfway into evo so please excuse me while i open the wiki. i'm probably gonna say some weird shit due to that lmao. also since i didn't see beyond evo i'm gonna keep my answers around those two seasons. i don't think i can answer but i'm gonna try dammit)
Shu's pretty cool. I did not like the way he acted with his injury or how he disappeared during evo but he's still cool.
I actually don't see him with anyone at all, so instead I'm gonna tell you about something that happened to me lmao. i used to confuse him with Shun from Bakugan Battle Brawlers a lot when I didn't really know about either show.
I liked seeing him with Valt, and seeing him with Daigo was pretty cool too.
I have zero idea of what people say about beyburst lmao
No comment ._ . I don't know what to put here

Dreamwatch: SLEEPING GIANTS Press Conference (Match 4)
Tumblr media
Daigo Asahina: Hey everyone, I'm Daigo Asahina. Thanks for coming. Uh... In all honesty I don't have much to say about this particular opponent. He's a veteran that bites people, yeah? I'm not particularly moved. I'm as tough as nails, so I'll win this match and hope that I'll get someone different for my next big match. I'll do my best!
Mitsuru Takahashi: ...Who the hell do you think you are, worm?!
Daigo Asahina: I began my promo with "Hey everyone, I'm Daigo Asahina" so that's who I think I am.
Mitsuru Takahashi: You little smartass... You think you have the right to be up here acting all cocky?! You and your boys are nothing but failures. You can't pretend not to care and use these little jokes to distract from the fact that your entire group is one big flash in the pan! Every time you're on a big stage like this, all you can do is choke, so I'm gonna choke you out! You'll wake up knowing that you screwed up again!
Daigo Asahina: *snickers* He's a little upset I think.

I need a Kuroko no Basuke Season 4 desperately but we’re never getting it so I will be throwing around a bunch of ideas on what could’ve been based on where we left off ;_;
Lucky for us, Fujimaki did give us hints on how things are going (Last Game does not exists *shuts ears* lalalalallaLALALALA).
In the manga, the newest captains are:
Yosen- Himuro
Kaijou- Hayakawa
Shuutoku- Miyaji(Yuya)
Touou- Wakamatsu
Seirin- Hyuuga(unchanged)
Rakuzan- Akashi(unchanged)
Seirin has two new first years in a canon extra: Asahina Daigo and Yaagi Yuta. So that’s basically set the Seirin team pretty well. Supposing this goes like a usual sports anime and we got all three years, then season 4 would’ve focused on Riko and gang’s graduation, the second-years wrapping up & preparing Kagami, Kuroko and the bench trio to take over because they’d probably be playing first string.
We could have a lot of stuff going on with the Uncrowned Kings, Himuro and the current captains(final year). I kind of want the Seirin upperclassmen to graduate with a win but I doubt Rakuzan would let it happen. Yosen hopefully makes it to the top three, and Shuutoku top 5.
Kise’s pretty pissed after Kaijou losing against Touou- and honestly Touou’s going to need some work on being a team. Wakamtasu and Aomine have always been on bad terms and it’d take time to fix it, but Kaijou is getting good at team work. If they did go up against each other I think Touou would lose because of how much the team started to clash against each other(redemption arc in 3rd year tho so it’s fine).
Yosen’s going to be on another level now that Himuro’s captain, It’s his final shot at taking on Kagami before graduation. I don’t think Seirin could win against them if they were to play in a match. They’d probably lose. Seirin placing third or fourth.
Idk why but I’m picturing the Winter Cup finals as Yosen vs Rakuzan with Rakuzan winning.
Shuutoku- okay I don’t remember a lot of the team dynamics but I do remember it being like- Midorima gets into a position to do his shot- ball travels- a Shuutoku member is under the basket to ensure the ball goes in if he misses. He depends on his team a LOT. Takao’s Hawk Eye, the rebound member under the basket, ensuring that no one is around him- his 3-pointers takes time. In the set-up for his 3-pointers, a lot of energy is spent. Takao’s eye and his proficiency as a PG +Shuutoku’s competency makes it possible but it clearly takes a lot of team effort- which hinders the rest of the members.
Touou- As I mentioned before, Wakamatsu and Aomine really need to learn to put aside their differences, otherwise it’s going to be difficult to play. Aomine is literally unstoppable and in reality probably the most well-rounded player(there’s Kise and Murasakibara when he goes all out) in GoM. Any conflict probably arises from his inability to coordinate with the team and letting his pride get to him- the best way that could happen is in a match with Kise. Kise riles him up and is his eternal rival. He’s always won against him, so if he gets close to losing or actually loses- it’s going to throw him off. (We can have some Momoi and Aomine conflict as well).
Yosen- Murasakibara stated that he has to hold back lest he hurt people during games, now he doesn’t have that restriction because the GoM can handle his strength and holding back would be a problem. Honestly Yosen has a pretty good line up in second year. Murasakibara isn’t just a shield anymore- never was. All is looking good for Yosen actually, their arc could be focused around their positive developments because Himuro was so vengeful last time. MuraHimu just enjoying b-ball in s4 thank you very much.
Rakuzan- Actually, same as Yosen, they’ve all come together as friends after first year. It’s Uncrowned Kings’ final year and you best believe that Akashi would make it fucking spectacular for them. We could probably get some insight into what’s up with Akashi’s dad and that whole thing. I can’t see them losing tbh.
Kaijou- This team. Honestly Kaijou might be wiping the floor with everyone. Kise’s actually ready to go unhinged, he’s probably seeking fucking vengence after Kasamtasu cried and they lost. He’s got Perfect Copy on lock too, he can copy all of GoM. He’s a lean mean killing machine out for victory and he’d do anything to get it. He’s getting along well with his team too and has the flexibility to compromise. I’m genuinely scared of Kaijou in 2nd year.
Seirin- I feel like there’s going be hiccups with the first years- Kuroko’s just learning to be his own ‘light’ but it’s such a feeble first step into a new territory and style, there’s bound to be some conflicts with Kagami. Probably in terms of passing- like Kagami expects Kuroko to pass the ball, Kuroko gets reckless with his new found abilites at times, etc. The seniors though, they’d be fine. They’d probably brush up on their pre-existing abilities and move forward.
Really interesting match-ups:
- Yosen vs Rakuzan(we get little to nothing of Akashi & Murasakibara’s dynamics) - Touou vs Kaijou- but Kaijou wins -Shuutoku vs Touou -Seirin vs Yosen- but Yosen wins -Rakuzan vs Kaijou would be cool -Kirisaki Daiichi vs Rakuzan(somehow, idk)
This is just a huge ramble. If anyone knows basketball well and wants to write/has written a sequel of sorts for KNB, please lmk so I can read and quench my thirst :_;.

Happy Birthday Kenichi Suzumura!
Happy 45th birthday to Maaya Sakamoto’s husband Kenichi Suzumura! She’s the leader of his own agency that was named after his first single INTENTION. It employs talents like Nao Touyama and Takahiro Sakurai (and himself). Besides that, he’s an accomplished voice actor, singer, and actor. He has a troupe called AD-LIVE which is comprised of seiyuu that do ad-lib acting!
You can read more about his life here!
